DFA Enterprise/Magellan solution is an MEF 3.0 certified layer two managed connectivity service that connects two of your sites to each other. We provide and manage the end-to-end service, offering you Quality-of-Service (QoS) connectivity. Our Magellan offering is designed to enable you to connect all your end customers to your network seamlessly.

Point-to-point Ethernet Private Line (E-Line EPL); point-to-point access Ethernet Private Line (E-Access EPL) or point-to-point access Ethernet Virtual Private Line (E-Access EVPL).
Connecting Customer sites within a predefined proximity to Aggregation Nodes
Access technology through Metro Ethernet
Non Recurring Charge – Connection fee and ENNI port setup fee for new ENNI’s
Monthly recurring charge – billing is based on bandwidth
Service Levels – 99.5% Availability Service Level and 4-hour Restoration Service Level

Benefits

Lease/payment terms – 1, 2, 3 and 5 year contracts
Equipment – CPE installed for last mile Access
Interface options – 1Gbps or 10Gbps for capacities above 1Gbps.
Customer equipment connector is a standard RJ-45 up to 1Gbps Magellan Services but can be optical at an additional fee. Any Magellan Service above 1Gbps is optical hand off only at no additional cost.
Termination options – Termination is on a passive connector which is connected to DFA equipment.
Bandwidth options – 50Mbps to 100Gbps in defined bandwidth increments, with bandwidth greater than 10Gbps being subject to feasibility
