An Update On the Connectivity Issues Experience Last week
We have been closely investigating the Vumatel network in Cape Town given the issues we have seen with the restoration of services post load-shedding this week. Last night, while working on a solution to this problem, we inadvertently affected the network between 19h30 and 20h00. You would not have had connectivity during this time and we sincerely apologise for this error on our part. The good news is, that we believe the change we made will alleviate some of the issues you might be having with the restoration of your service post load-shedding.
Some customers still appear to be down following this series of events. If you still do not have internet connectivity, please follow the steps below:
Turn off the white Raycore CPE device and your Wi-Fi router. Wait 10 minutes Turn on the white Raycore CPE device only. Wait for the Power and Fx lights on the Raycore device to stop flashing. If they do not stop flashing, refer to the below point.
After the Power and Fx lights have stabilised, turn your Wi-Fi router back on. Try to use the internet. If at this stage, you still cannot connect to the internet, and/or the Power and Fx lights are not stable on your white Raycore CPE device, please contact your ISP to log a ticket so that we can assist you further.
